Voted #1 out of 1400 bands in Virgin Mobile's FreeFest semifinals, LIFTED is a complete original. It's award-winning members have studied under luminaries like Dave DiCenso of Duran Duran and played at events for Oprah Winfrey and Martin Short.
It's about Originality. They extend a single theme -- a harmonic texture that's very complicated -- through a dynamic range of rock, funk, jam, reggae, and jazz, adding saxophone and trumpet for extra dimension.
This wide range appeals to audiences young, old, soulful, energetic, and bright! A group that met at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, LIFTED is less than two years old but has already played prominent venues like Boston City Hall plaza.
